Extension Agents Suelynn Molesi and Aliimau Petaia of the American Samoa Community College Agriculture, Community and Natural Resources (ASCC-ACNR) Division represented American Samoa at the 2026 4-H Ignite Conference held in Washington, D.C., from March 26–27. Accompanying them were 4-H club advisor of Nu'uuli Vocational Technical High School (NVTHS) Mr. Kenneth Jagon and two outstanding youth delegates, Easter Ulu of NVTHS and Andrew Talatau of Faasao Marist High School.
The conference brought together 4-H members and leaders from across the nation for a unique opportunity to engage in leadership development, networking, and cultural exchange. During the event, the American Samoa delegation proudly exchanged valuable information about their local 4-H clubs and programs while showcasing Samoan culture through traditional dances, artwork, and cultural presentations.
The students had the opportunity to connect with fellow 4-H members from across the United States, exchange ideas, and learn about the diverse experiences of youth involved in 4-H programs nationwide. Their participation highlighted the rich cultural heritage of American Samoa and demonstrated the valuable role of 4-H in developing leadership, communication, and community engagement skills among young people.
ASCC-ACNR is proud of its delegates for representing American Samoa on the national stage and for sharing the traditions and values of the territory with participants from across the country.
